Chaucer

Geoffrey Chaucer 1343 – 1400, is considered the greatest English poet of the Middle Ages and achieved fame as an astronomer, philosopher, alchemist and author. He had an active career in the civil service as a administrator, courtier and diplomat. His works include The Book of the Duchess, the House of Fame, the Legend of Good Women, Troilus and Criseyde and his most well known work is The Canterbury Tales.
