Booker Prize

The winner is chosen from the short list and wins a £50,000 prize. S Riaz an Amazon top 50 reviewer has created a Listmania list of the 2011 long list.  The winner of the 2011 Prize , The Sense of An Ending by Julian Barnes (Jonathan Cape, Random House), was one of the fastest selling winners since records began. In the UK it sold over 140,000 copies in hardback and was in the top ten best seller list week after week.  Even without e-book sales this is significantly ahead of many mass market paperback sales even those by Katie Price. The global sales of The Sense Of An Ending are more than half a million copies, making it the fastest-selling Booker winner.
